Hey guys, as there has been a few posts lately asking for recommendations I though I would share a few with you all and thank everyone we had for the day! We got married in March this year out at Stonefield in Brighton - it was absolutely perfect. This venue has a nice rustic feel, but still classy ;) . At this venue, you pay per head and that's it (no venue hire, just money per head for your guests). You do supply your own alcohol which was perfect for us (don't know about you guys but the cost of a Tab is pretty pricey considering the amount of drinks you get for that...). Damien runs the show and he is fantastic, very organised and always willing to help and check to see how your plans are going. The food is also amazing and your guest will not go hungry. He offers recommendations for many aspects of your day. He recommended our Dj. Who was Jamie, the owner of Nightlife DJs. He was absolutely perfect for us. We had a mix of country and 80s/90s Rock. He nailed it perfectly and everyone was dancing well into the night!. plus size boho wedding dresses
Other venders are as follows:
Dress:
Justin Alexander dress from Little White in Launceston, My dress was perfect for what i wanted except for the neckline so I had alterations done by Strutt in Moonah - loved their work, did a great job changing my neckline into a dress I was much more comfortable with on the day.
Bridesmaid dresses:
Timeless elegance in Hobart. Great range, but definitely look around for what you want as I did find this part quite hard and many places had the same things.
Suits:
Les lees in hobart. Groomsmen suits were all brought form here. but the grooms suit was tailor made here - fantastic service, great suit!
Flowers:
I wanted native/rustic flowers for the day and went with Swallows Nest Farm. I had boutineers, bouquets and a floral comb made. Great service and the flowers were perfect!
Make-up:
Tamsin Nolan did all of our make-up she is a lovely person and works with you to make sure that your makeup is what you wanted. I wanted a natural looking make-up so tamsin was great for me :)
Hair:
Bianca Schenk , I was amazed with Bianca, she got my hair perfect and did a great job with my bridesmaids. I received so many compliments on my hair and makeup that day. Both really were fantastic and I can't recommend them highly enough. I had 5 bridesmaids, myself and my mum and both managed to get through everyone and create the looks I was after.
Cake:
Angel Cakes Mike Goddard made an beautiful naked cake for us that tasted amazing - we had a three tier cake with a caramel layer, a chocolate and frangelico layer and my favourite, a coconut and passionfruit layer with a citrus liquor. Everyone took photos and went back for a second piece. Not one bit was wasted!
Celebrant
Gail-Eaton Briggs, well organised and kind. Very willing to help my husband out with his vowels and accommodate times that suited us in preparation of the wedding and everything went smoothly on the day :)
Photographers:
We went with Steve Wallace , and had his package which included a second photographer which was Aaron Spurr . Bot of these guys were amazing, they captured so many moments throughout the day with two different styles which allowed us to get a variety of pictures. We really do adore our photos and all our guests have said lovely words about them. Everyone found them non-intrusive and hardly noticed that they were there which really allowed for natural photos. We were very comfortable with both photographers and Steve's editing of the final shots are beautiful and really capture the feeling of the day.
Videographer:
Rose Davies. We haven't seen the final video yet but we loved Rose on the day, she was great at filming us without us realising she was there - so it should be great to see as I really did want a natural video and not something forced.
Decorations
We actually did all these ourselves and everyone loved them. It was really nice getting to do these and set them up the way I wanted. This venue really allowed for this as well as we had access to the site the entire day before hand. Not a lot of places let us do this as they were still using the venue for lunch etc the day before.
Anyway, here are some pictures, I have tried to include enough for you guys to see the types of photos/decorations/hair/makeup etc so you can make your own mind up. Rough price for the total cost for the day ($20,000) so you know the type of money involved. We had ~ 80 guests and 12 in the bridal party.

Happy Weddings!!!
