3rd Beacon 6k race inc the 12th Super Series race on Monday September 11th.
Just an update on Mondays 6k race. Conditions are set to be very gusty (as is the tradition of this race now) although it should remain dry by the time the race starts.
We have a record breaking 76 runners taking part in this race which, I believe, is a record turnout for any Arena race ever so you are all a part of history now....
Due to the amount of runners taking part, there will now be four groups instead of the original three. The first group will set off at 6.30pm and the following groups will then go off at 3 minute intervals.
We will begin check-in from 6pm onwards for you to collect your numbers and you will be told which group you are in. There will be a quick briefing before the race starts so please do allow yourselves time to be checked-in as it will be very busy before the race starts.
Arena tops to be worn however I know some of the newer members have not got arena tops so it's fine to run with any top in which case. If it should be wet or cold then of course dress sensibly to your running needs and do not worry about the Arena tops.
The start is the Beacon wooden pole on Hove Prom by Hove Lagoon, where the Hove Prom 10k turns at the 5k point. It then goes East passed the King Alfred, passed start of Hove Prom parkrun and you carry on to go clockwise around the peace statue on Brighton & Hove boundary at the end of the lawns. You return on the same route you went out on. vogue prom dresses
We look forward to seeing you there.
Below is the list of all runners who have declared themselves fit and up for it.
